Ralph as we call him has exuberant floating paces with an extravagant, correct and careful technique over a fence. From being a super successful novice Champion where he won at HOYS in the Young Horse Evaluations he competed up to 1.60m. Combine his talent with his superb pedigree and lovely nature and you won't want to go abroad for your mares needs. Multiple progeny competing internationally at 4 and 5* showjumping and eventing, many competing nationally in BS, BD and BE, his offspring also make hunters and leisure horses.

The Sire: Cheenook
Caretino Glory is by the superbly bred Cheenook, who was performance tested in 1991. A prolific Grand Prix dressage winner, his progeny are well represented in all regions of Germany. Cheenook is by Caretino, a winner of the 1989 Holstein Showjumping Championships.
He went on to compete internationally in Nation Cups and Grand Prix's under Bo Kristofferson and Ludger Beerbaum before injury forced an early retirement. He is owned by the Holstein Verband. Caretino is also the sire of Zangersheide Stud's new star, Caretano. Under Jos Lansink he won the WBFSH champion for 7 year olds in 1999 and is in top of the league for Sires of the World 2001.
Caretino is by Caletto II, the prominent sire of jumpers including 1992 Olympic Gold medallist- Classic Touch under Ludger Beerbaum. Cheenook's dam is grand daughter to the great Ramiro Z. Ramiro Z has over 100 graded sons and more than 50 showjumpers competing at international level, along with many dressage progeny.
Probably his best known offspring is the fantastic mare Ratina Z, a winner of an Olympic medal, plus European and World Cup wins, she has since bred her first foal for the Zangersheide Stud.
Other progeny include Robin Z I & II, the Rebel Z line, Dramiro and Maximillion Saluut to name just a few. Ramiro Z was ranked as number one jumper sire in 1995/96 season with the WBFSH.
The Dam: Glorieuze
Glorieuze is a daughter to Glorieux, a leading breeding stallion in Germany, being owned by the German maestro Paul Schockemoehle; he has 5 approved sons and over 60 main studbook mares.
Glorieux's grand sire is the great Gotthard, whose progeny include Goldika, Gonzales and Graf.
Glorieuze's dam sire is Calypso I, a superb sire of many jumping stars including Caspar and Calando 14. Calypso I's dam, Tabelle is full sister to Dressage World Champion-Grannat.

Winter 04-05 Doing Dressage! He now has 16 points with BD.


2005 onwards		

Winner at Stallion Show of 1.30m Championship.
Winner at South of England in 1.3om Open.
4th at Welsh Masters in Gent’s Championship.
Winner at Scope Festival in 7 yrs class.
2nd at South of England in Area Trial.
Double clears in 1.30m and 1.40m opens.
6th in 1.50m open at Royal Windsor.
3rd at Vicarage Farm in 1.40m open.
6th in 1.60m International at Hickstead.
2nd at Patchetts Premier.
BSJA winnings approx. £13,825. International Grade A.



As a young horse he qualified 2nd rounds in Discovery, Newcomers & Foxhunter, Milton 5 years, Style and Performance 4 & 5 years, Star Spotters and 1.25m. In the YHE he scored an Impressive 9.5 and 9.0 in the loose jumping, with a spectacular double 9.5 in the ridden jumping for technique and temperament. The first time that two 9.5's had been awarded. His jump is with outstanding technique and scope, he combines this with elastic suspension in his paces, being very elevated and correct, he learns well due to his intelligence. Now competing 1.40m/1.50m 


Progeny
His foals are of outstanding quality with star appeal. They have movement and correctness, proving to be real winners on the world stage. Sussex Caretino & Caretino Vantarsi both won in Zangersheide, Lanaken in 2011, he has other jumping progeny competing with the BS and qualifying for HOYS. There are also progeny competing BD AND BE. Young progeny include Champion Yearling at Pavo Championships and Champion foal at North of the Border Foal Show.

Save the date for The B.E.S.T Auction

So on the whole we had a great year! 
Ralph aka Caretino Glory is still fit and well at the grand old age of 25. We still ride him, in fact he sulks if we don’t ride him. He’s still available with fantastic fresh and chilled semen. 

Dime Bar aka Envoy Merelsnest Z had a great year, he completed his first Hickstead Derby with Morgan, it was also Morgan’s first ride round the massive 1.60m course. It’s such a magic moment to have one jump in this iconic class. We’re aiming again for the derby this year. Dime is currently at Phillip Millers as Morgan is still on light duties  re concussion. Available frozen only. 

Krispy aka Klaris Giddy Up has had some down time due to an accident. He’s now back walking and will hopefully be back in the spring. He will be collecting though so his rocket fuel semen is still available fresh and chilled. 

Microwave aka Noble Lord has had an awesome year. Nicole Pavitt took over the ride in June and they forged a great partnership. They jumped some Amazing rounds and at Bolesworth they qualified for HOYS and the World Breeding Championship at Lanaken. Sadly we couldn’t go as Nicole had commitments at another show. 
If he’s not sold Microwave will be available fresh and chilled. 

Wifi aka Pandito Merelsnest Z had a quiet ish year jumping wise as he was so busy with stud work. He jumped a couple of 1.40m classes in the summer with Morgan and Nicole. He popped round those for fun. Unfortunately he knocked himself in the stable at Bolesworth so it wasn’t to be for him there. He is currently at Phillip’s. He’ll be back this season though for fresh and chilled semen. Frozen also available. 

Kung Foo aka Klent Spot On injured himself in the Spring. He’s had the rest of the year off and is currently walking and trotting. Available chilled and fresh. 

Kenya aka Warrior Special also had a great year with catch jockeys all over! He really showed his scope and brilliance at Bolesworth, it was a massive step up for him and he jumped awesome. He’s growing into a big impressive one for sure. Available fresh and chilled. 

Zellow aka Regal Warratino had a phenomenal year. He won lots of 4 year old classes with different riders - Morgan and Ruby Light shared the ride at the Pyecombe young horse show, with Ruby winning the championship even though she’d never sat on him before! Then Nicole took over and he was awesome at Bolesworth. We then played rent a rider at Hickstead and Ben Raistrick was in the saddle to be a joint winner in the main arena championship.

Azure aka Ashent Go Ballistic jumped some age classes then got turned away as he needed time to mature, he’s going to be some power house! Available fresh and chilled. 

Mustard aka Ares has been backed and is popping a fence nicely. He’s a pleasure to have around and he’s super fertile on a tricky mare. 

These stallions all have fantastic temperaments, with a an easy going trainable brain. It’s a testament to their talent and trainability that they they can take catch riders and win!! 
So that’s a wrap for 2022, looking forward to 2023 with lots of championships to aim for.
